Connie Fisher joins NODA as Patron
NODA is delighted to announce that Connie Fisher has agreed to become a Patron of the Association alongside existing Patron, Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Connie Fisher won the BBC One talent contest, How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? and on 15th November 2006, she opened to excellent reviews in the part of Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music in the West End, London on a six-month contract, which was extended until 23 February 2008. She resumed the role of Maria in The Sound of Music UK tour which started in July 2009.
With her background in amateur theatre, Connie appreciates the value of being involved in a local Society as well as recognising how young people can develop transferrable skills that will stand them in good stead in later life. Connie is delighted to become a Patron of NODA and the Association looks forward to enjoying a long relationship with her, as well as continuing to enjoy the patronage of Andrew Lloyd Webber. TheatreFest 15 will be held over the weekend of October 9th and 10th at the Gaiety Theatre in the Isle of Man.
