Last weekend we had a stall at the Hungerford Primary School fete and some members of the company performed to the crowds. Here are some photographs from our weekend.
Thank you to Neil Padgen for taking the majority of these photographs. Bella Martin has successfully auditioned to get into Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and will be starting there in September. To win her place at the school, Bella had two days of auditions that included dance, singing and acting. For her acting audition she performed part of the script of 'Wind in the Willows' which was the Children's Theatre production in 2014. Bella has been a member of The Community of Hungerford Theatre Company for three years. She first joined in 2013 for The Children's Theatre production of 'Davy' where she played Little Emily and since then she gone from strength to strength as a performer. In 2014 She performed in 'The Wizard of Oz' as part of the Lullaby League in Munchkin Land. For the Children's Theatre that year, Bella played Mr Toad in 'The Wind and Willows' and had everyone in stitches with her lively and madcap performance. In 2015 she performed in 'Whistle Down the Wind' and played Louise, one of the soloist children in 'No Matter What' and 'Long Overdue for a Miracle'. In our latest Children's Theatre production of 'The Little Mermaid Jr.' Bella played Atina, one of the mersisters, as well the comedy role of Chef Louis, and showed off her wide range of abilities in the two contrasting roles. The company would like to congratulate Bella on getting into Tring Park and wish her the best of luck for the future, both on and off the stage! Raiko Gohara has been cast in the role of Oliver in The Watermill Theatre's production of Oliver! which runs from July- September 2015. He is one of three boys who are taking on this role as part of the professional cast. Well done Raiko! Raiko has been part of The Community of Hungerford Theatre Company for three years. In 2013 he took on the role of Davy in 'Davy', which was based on David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. In 2014 he played both the Coroner in Munchkin land and a Crow as part of 'The Wizard of Oz' which gave him a chance to show off his dancing skills. In 'The Wind in the Willows', Raiko took on the role of Mole for the Children's Theatre production. For the 2015 Town Show, 'Whistle Down the Wind', Raiko played the principal role of Poor Baby. The NODA reviewer described his performance as 'extraordinary'. He also appeared as Sebastian in our recent Children's Theatre production of 'The Little Mermaid Jr'. For anyone who would like to see Raiko in Oliver! tickets are available from The Watermill Theatre website Aggie Heber-Pearcy has also been cast in The Watermill Theatre's production of Oliver! She is playing Martha in the workhouse scenes and is also appearing as one of Fagin's gang. Well done Aggie! Aggie joined The Community of Hungerford Theatre Company two years ago. Her first show was the 2014 Children's Theatre production of 'The Wind in the Willows' where she played Mr Badger and proved she had a strong stage presence. In the 2015 Town Show 'Whistle Down the Wind' Aggie played Elizabeth, one of town children who sang solos in 'No Matter What' and 'Long Overdue for a Miracle' In The Children's Theatre production of The Little Mermaid Jr. Aggie once again commanded the stage by taking on the challenging role of King Triton. Tickets are available to see Aggie perform in Oliver! from The Watermill Theatre's website. I have been advised that is not possible to see both Aggie and Raiko perform together as they are in different teams that have different performance nights. I am sure, whichever night you see the show, it will be fantastic. Both Aggie and Raiko are sure to do a superb job in this production. |
