Congratulations to our company director, David Clayton, who has been made a Freeman of the town of Hungerford in recognition of  his dedication to developing live theatre in Hungerford

David's first production with The Community of Hungerford Theatre Company was the 1989 Production of Babes in the Wood, in which he played 'Nurse Mother Care'. He started directing town shows in 1991 when the company produced 'Oliver'.

Since then he has directed 26 town shows, 3 Children's Theatre Productions, 6 Youth theatre productions and 13 Players Productions. This makes a total of 48 productions over 25 years.

Many years of dedication and hard work means this accolade is truly well deserved
